Nice stack!

I have a similar looking stick coming up - should have been tomorrow but the owner has put his back out so we're delayed a few weeks. Mine was supposed to be into boards but the owner now wants a 25ft beam, so more set-up but less cutting.

Nice work with the oak. What is the largest piece you have lifted onto your mill with the arms? I have just taken delivery of my mill (WM LT40) and I have a job taking the sapwood off some very large oak butts but don't want to bend anything just yet. Is it better to use the mill arms or lift it on with the crane? My Botex will only just lift them so they must be 2.5 tonne or thereabouts.

Cheers

Nick hello although our arms were bent when we got our mill we have never managed to re bend them! we have loaded 30'' + dia 6m long trunks onto the mill

Was that purely with the loading arms or did you give them some assistance with the telehandler? Did you do anything to stop the log slamming in to the back stops?

Cheers

above was with telehandler as I no find other independent pics, but it will lift enormous amount! slam with big logs can be a problem care needed (always remember to raise back stops as big log will roll off the other side!), , also do not lower lift arms until alternative securing of log is sorted, big logs have potential big hazard, imagine one the above size ''falling off''
