dont know about post #53 cos i see it as atree saying "brilliant" as it happens my fungi ident is crap anyway and i can never remember the names even after 2 seconds of finding out:blushing:

 

Agaricus augustus is the name of the "The Prince"

Post 53 i see as atree's post and post 58 is the one with the prince:confused1:. Anyway i was back at that job again today and took some more pics and it has opened up nicely:thumbup1: there is also this little pink one if anyone wants to throw in a name:thumbup:

David,

The first one maybe is Agaricus augustus, but could just as well be A. silvaticus. And the second one is Mycena pura var. pura.

I have seen this tree on the passing for many many years and always had a giggle cos it looks like it parked its butt on the wall for a rest. I only got these pics last week and i am glad i did because i would hate for it to be cut down and have no reminder of it.

 

Is that on the Loch Lomond rd David?:001_smile:just up from the butchered topped Wellintonia on the side of the rd:sneaky2:
