Qualifications to set me apart from the rest of the college graduates?

Upon leaving college I thought what qualifications would set me apart from the rest of the graduates? One member has already suggested b+e driving licences which does make perfect sense and I will most likely get...I was just wondering does anyone else have any ideas of what would set me apart? cheers

Experience is the best qualification.

 

Other than that, b+e, 7.5t or more Hgv. More than cs38 and 39, everyone has those!

Exactly my problem Rob. You need experience to get a job, but need a job to get the experience. Its a catch 22 situation. But oh well I have to do my best. Ill defiantly look into adding to my driving licence categories!

A degree in common sense, higher national diploma in T making and National cert in how not to back chat the boss should see you go a long way

a tutu and a big pink mohawk should set you apart from most, other than that it seems the hgv licence is up there with the best. Oh and when you ever get a chance to show you can work hard then do it and dont have to be told to do every little thing or your butt will be out the door quicker than you got in.

B+E and class C HGV anything climbing related wont have muc value without prior experience, and experience is the key, do whatever is needed to get some.

so far ( i was holding my gob!) ive seen two say dont backchat now another one is saying not to ask when you finish.

 

I would suggest to any of these probably bosses that the fact your saying these things suggests your the sort of boss who has a bit of backchat coming and also the sort who will punish you with "odd jobs" or extra jobs for being efficient like much more so than "others"

 

if you work hard, and are good at what you do, when your boss gives you some stick, give it back, and if you work like a dog and he gives you another little one on the way home kinda thing, again, hes got some backchat coming!

 

its a two way street, value your staff and you will be valued, it has to work BOTH ways.
