2010 long winter lots of snow, mainly -10 and below, was freeze drying the green logs too. Brilliant winter for log sales.

 

Just before we started although qe still cut our own for our fire, I remember it probably being the first te I started using axes and started chopping wood (I was 12).

What I definitely remember is there being a few days off school!!

well with the last few days getting colder and its meant to be cold for the next week hopefully we will all shift some wood, quite a hard frost this morning and its still -3 now, that's bitter for us southern lads haha, although I do like the cold

The above posts are why I like arbtalk, it's nice seeing the different ends of the spectrum.

 

Sales are good for us, just struggling to keep up with the cutting. We did about 120 tons in February which is the best yet. It's a nice combination of cold,dry weather.
