It my first year doing logs as well. Have about 70 cm3 of seasoned larch to move and I'm not shifting nowhere near enough. I'm selling it at £45 a cm3 and there are the traveling kind going round door to door selling tranny tipper loads for £80 wet through as the only parked up at road side hopped into a farmers wood and felled random trees a few hours before. And some people are worried about upstarts undercutting them lol it don't matter if you fell extract process everything yourself and run your motors on bio diesel your still not gonna compete with people that are outright stealing their timber!!! They need flogging with a sock full of hot crap and the customers that buy it too!!

Fylde coast way north of Preston south of Lancaster. Tbh I couldn't sell it any high than that people just wouldn't buy it!!! My parents have sold seasoned hardwood in the Scottish borders for50 a cube for years people just won't pay more than 60ish up there. I can't believe how some of you guys down south move hundreds of tons at upto 100 a cube!!!??? How do you do it???

You're not a million miles away from me. I'm in Cumbria.

I don't turn over hundreds of tonnes like a lot of people on here. I sell at £80 per m3.

Thats good, around here I'm struggling to get £70 for H/W logs this winter as so many have jumped on the bandwagon after last years Big Freeze, and selling it much cheaper. I cant do that as my timber was bought in and road side prices + Haulage means less than £70m is least I'll sell for. S/W going out at £50m, all is under cover and is 20%(SW)-25-28% H/W.
