I'm interested in how much water intake you're all consuming on a warm day? It was 20C and muggy up here today and I drank nearly 3 litres to stay hydrated. (with heavy type A trousers)

 

I'm average height and weight and reasonably fit.

 

Is this a typical amount for groundwork/forestry in warm weather?

I'd agree with that - anything between 3 and 5 (including cups of tea ) when its warm.

I currently wear the Oregon Waipoua (sp?) at the moment, and I am surprised by their quality, comfort, toughness atc a vast improvement on the Fiordlands (which disintegrated on contact with fresh air!!). I still am a Stretch-Air fan though.

The new stein revolutions appear really hot. Only worn them for a couple of days but I was hoping they would be a lot cooler than they are

when you look at them they seem fairly light, decent materials etc but they are warm. Could be the fact that like most pairs now they are black.

 

I'm happy enough with them, just need some ballistic shorts for the really warm days

Really really rate SIP Progress they are by far the best trousers i have had. way better then the anything, stihl, husky or stretch air can come up with.
