Oh, and whilst I think about it...

 

Anyone want to try and quantify the risks from this one?

 

Yeah I will have a go! garages Highway, pedestrian blah blah! Pollard that Plane!

 

dont care how well planes deal with Hispidus that one is in a right state!:thumbdown:

Have seen I. hispidus on Planes in Paris & Ely, but not to this extent.

 

Saw this today over in Richmond -south west London, cable braced up to the eyeballs & right on the Highway.

.

 

 

Another hispidus on London Plane

 

This time on a topped tree with no where near as big a risk factor as that Plane from Richmond.

There is a monster plane in Garston with Hispidus on a main branch that I am monitoring (personaly) Im fascinated by this relationship and would love to know what the long term effects on the host will be. I suspect it will be exactly the same as with ash only taking much longer and with less degradation (necrosis) than we would see in ash.

 

There is one however outside Kew, beside the Thames on the way in to car park which is hollowing out nicely due to hispidus, the parrots enjoy it immensley!
