"What would an approximate cost of a replacement Engine be?"

Why not rebuild the original engine? If it's siezed take the head off, free off the pistons and clean the bores, clean up the head and reseat the valves, rebuild with a new gasket set and in the pub before 5 o'clock:thumbup1::thumbup:

If,if,if the Engine can be turned over with a bar, then I would consider it.Taking the Head off and having a look would be a good idea.

I think the countys were 6000 series ford based tractors, should be easy to find any replacement parts. Think you will find the tin work fetches more money than and mechanical parts as this is the first to rot. go get it , if you don`t i will!

good luck

Buy it! Barn it if you ain't got time or funds at the moment as values will get stronger. Spares aren't an issue either. More and more people are getting into the show market and anything with loads of electronics is avoided but anything mechanical is bright and shiney!

I'm Probably not going to go though with this.Because I don't know it it was parked up with Transmission Problems but a good Engine. Now that the Engine is likely knackered I could go to all the time and Expence fitting a replacement Donk only to find the Tractor won't move.
