I really like that!

I am struggling at the moment with OP and a michoacan. Not enough turns and it doesn't grip after being advanced and adding another rap causes the hitch to seize up quite quickly.

 

I'll be interested to see how this system copes.

I think the small cord should go through a hole drilled in the ring. If that piece wore out and the ring dissapeared up the knot you could have big problems. Other than that I like the concept and I'm glad people are taking the time to keep trying stuff.
