Hamadryad in Europe

Recommended Posts

I am going on a little trip in the autumn, to the netherlands and to germany for a little study tour, but I will be going back in next year for a trip to the bialowieza national park.

This link sums up what true raw nature is all about, this is the Bialowieza primeval forest, and i cant wait to be lost in the most ancient temperate forests on earth.

this thread I will add as and when, but I am VERY VERY excited and had to share!:001_smile:

soak this up. listen and feel the energy:001_cool:

Good one mate......would love to go to poland......The photo's of bialovieska in the book 'afterlife of a tree' are amazing. Good website with some nice galleries. As you say the energy that must emanate from such a place must be very special.:001_smile:

You know, the next couple of years are going to be the best of my life experiences, and will probably be the making of me, from a be where I wanna be in life kind of ways.

That part of Europe Germany/Sweden/Poland/Holland etc Natura 2000/Karlsrhue and others seems to be where science and research is happening on a level that I want to be smothered in, I might not come home from Bialowieza!:001_smile:

Im seriously considering learning German at the moment, add dutch and swedish and I will be able to learn from the best of what there is to be studied. Ive found the two best mentors in mycology/tree mechanics all I need now is a mentor for soil sciences and one for entomology then and only then I will be getting close to being what I know I want to be:001_cool:

I know Ive whinged a lot about certain things, but I want to know, I need to know, the deeper I run down the rabbit hole the more I find I want to know and need to know. Its so fustrating at times, life is so short and there is so much to see learn and do.

But I think its finaly coming together for me, from here my learning goes up a gear, lesson 1 is completed. That being the lesson that I know nothing and after denial comes acceptence and after acceptance comes doing something about it!

Tony.....i for one know exactly how frustrating it is not being where one would like to be.......how i wish i had gotten into the industry 20 odd years ago. With my passion and directions i want to go I know I would have far more knowledge than I do.......but hope fully Ive got the best part of 40 years left in me.....no need to give everything up at 65. I'm on my own path and feel lucky that I have many people around me....and people on here whom i can call on anytime for a lesson in whatever. I also feel that our journeys (all of us whom are interested in the same things) can work side by side in the future....whether that be as photographers, climbers, mycologists etc.) Its about like minded people pulling together, sharing knowledge, resources, friendships etc.

To the future:thumbup:

The inner piece you guys are searching for can be found in a car park watching 2 ants wrestle half a pringle over the Tarmac.

if you don't know how to be at piece anywhere you won't find it at the other side of the world, it's in YOU not anywhere else.:)

enjoy the trip though lol

What on earth makes you say this has anything to do with inner peace?

 sounds like projection:lol:

Nice.

Get one of those Rosetta Stone German CDs. Lisen to it on the way to work and the way home. I've ordered the ISA study guide and CD so i can learn on the way to work. Make use of that otherwise wasted travel time.

thats a bloody good idea, spending an hour a day in the car gives me good opportunity too!
