Looks a little nose heavy?

Love the crush ram on the feed rollers though.

Only looks nose heavy because it's being towed by a Nissan 4WD. Will look just fine on the back of new Hino or Isuzu. And we looked at the 9 inch but it only had a single feed roller. We decided we wanted something a bit more heavy duty and this looked just the part with that ram and double rollers.

It looks nose heavy because the axle looks like its behind the centre of balance, directly under the drum, with only the infeed hopper behind the axle to counterbalance the engine.

I'm sure Bandit know what they are doing though!

I thought the same Peter.....

Bandit will be allowing for 250kg of kit in the hopper I reckon

they have different laws down under and in the us that chipper will have electric brakes

Yep sure does. We used to get hand brakes on them but haven't seen them for a while. They never really got used to be honest.

I haven't actually seen many chippers that are tail heavy rather than nose heavy Pete. I thought you just meant it was sitting down at the front somewhat. I know having it nose heavy helps when the tow ball snaps off. Had a chipper come off the back of my truck after I hit a massive pot hole in the road and it snapped the whole towing gubbins. Fortunately the tow bar just dropped to the floor, dug in and slowed the chipper down. Made a nice neat little grove all the way down the road. And who needs road cones? Nobody ever takes any notice of them anyway :001_tongue:
