So I've commited to going over to Husqvarna from stihl for mr personal aresnal.

I was wondering what husky's you run as I'm not famaliar with the serial numbers, at work we have the old favourite 200t (which i have so sticking with) ms361 ms441 ms660 and these seem to cover most bases.

I have brought myself a 357XP thinking it would do the ms361 / ms441 job but what saw to go for in place of ms660 ?????????? :confused1:

Your recomendations very much valued:thumbup:

You don't, the 660 is great

Don't mind the 395 husky but prefer the 660. every other saw would be a husky though (can't comment on top handles as don't climb)

390 (88cc's)is a bit lighter but 395( i think is 95cc's )is the Stihl equivalent to the 66 get your self a 576 to be on par with the 441 or 460 , 357 is more in the class of the Stihl 362 ....

try the 576xp in place of a ms460, the 576xp is a fantastic saw

and you want the 395xp for the 660,

and i have a 346xp which is a fantastic little saw,,, i would highly recomend one

There isn't a great difference in power between the 390 and the 395 in on the UK versions around .2hp.

390 is cheaper and has had some more user friendly features. For some reason though it seem to come as a .404 pitch.

The 576 which is 75ish cc is also worth putting into the collection as its fantastic.

I have

346 xpg (46cc version) -13" bar

357 xpg (56cc) - 15" bar

372 xpg (72cc) - 20" bar

and a friend who often parts with their 576 with a 24" bar.

357's a funny one, I'd happily pick one up to cut the same trees I'd take my 372 to, yet it feels not that much bigger than a 346. But that said, I'd not put a bar bigger than 20" onto the 372, anything bigger and I'd be reaching for 90cc plus
