yes why??????? do people have to be picky when it comes to peoples work, saying why the big slings .........does it matter what size the sling was.

 

I was not talking about slings, please look at the part of your post I highlighted in bold :001_rolleyes:

Easy there peeps. Didn't think my little old vid would cause such debate!!

 

With regards to HUGE slings. Yes they are a little on the large side, my mistake when i made my last Johnsie order ! Had them on site.....gonna use them!

 

To address the lowering the whole tree question, well I,m certainly not adversed to lowering at any time and have always championed the use of pulley/blocks etc but in this case it felt that the best way to go was to chog down. The room was there and indeed as pointed out the chogs were easy to get into the drop zone. We all know how heavy pine branches can be, so I thought better to be safe than sorry.

 

Hope that answers some of the issues raised.
