Rigging straight timber

Can't get it right all the time! I don't use a lanyard for every cut. I should and I would encourage others to but I don't, and I'm not bothered by the odd picture coming up with errors in it.

If I'm totally comfy in my position, with no chance of a swing and cutting away from me, or below my top rope then I get on with it. I use lanyard all the time when out on a limb, IMO thats what they are for.

I still have some bad habits and dodgy ways! I didn't know what a lanyard was for my first 4 years of climbing, for the next 6 years I hardly ever saw anyone else climbing a tree! I only got triple action krabs/cambium savers/ aerial rescue ticket etc in 2002 after ten years of climbing!

I've improved since then but make no apology for my pictures, I'll find some much worse ones if you like, heres one

I can't go back in time mate! That picture was taken, get over it!

Thats cool mate, its just that you posted that follow up pic of you one handing the 88 on the crosscut as if your promoting techniques that look half-arsed like they're the new current industry best practice.
