I have fitted a few ebay ones, I havent ever had a problem with them if the installation is done properly with new gaskets etc,

but they are a far cry from the quality of orignial parts, i did one recently that i should think the cooling fins are 50-75% thicker than the original ones and the cylinder weighed about twice as much and the finish wasnt as good, but for the price difference you can fit about 5ebay ones to one original one, so even if they dont last as long its not a problem

Yeah fitted a few with no problems so far and as above for the cost you'd have to fit lots to match the price of one OEM part so I will continue to use them.

I wish they would make a pot for the 084/MS 880

I have 2 saws in need of a pot and piston

Whats wrong with the pots on your saws - I have salvaged many that some would say couldn't be done! If it is scoring or ring damage then it is totalled, if the plating has worn through or is coming off then it is also totalled, aluminium transfer from seizure is generally salvageable unless it has really been hammered.

They are both scored, one had a cracked ring and the other has huge scoring on the exhaust port

FUBAR then:thumbdown: Bummer - can't find one - you could ask the US guys on Arboristsite.com but think you have the holy grail of pots to find!
