Thank you both. I must admit I haven't read the thread right through in one go, though I think I have been following it as it went. I shall go back and read it from the start, I may well be missing something simple or obvious

I am also not doing that good a job of explaining it. i hadnt realised that much of this was started before i was so confident about this, but having seen what i have here in this thread i will add a PDF im working on a bit later. :thumbup:

Looking back I had started following this thread but missed a middle chunk (nice little vid, shall find time to watch the others). It all makes a lot more sense now! Thank you all for putting in the effort and taking the time, appreciated

Well, I need no convincing now, but my hypothesis is growing with every new find and today I found it a plenty! All I need to do now is find a way of proving this scientificaly, so once ive got my stuff together thus far in a PDF i will begin looking into ways of defining it scientificaly and proving it beyond doubt.

I am now convinced that this relationship is equal in the lives of castanea, as for the oak, well we found the new fistulina champion, this one so chatty it sung the body language as gospel! I had a vision that this would be the ultimate expression, but wonderfull to see it here in the flesh.
