Fitting Stihl bar to a Husqvarna 357XP?

I've got a 16" Stihl bar from an MS240 in great condition, and several chains that fitted it. The saw no longer works, but I have a 357XP (not sure of year; probably 5-10 years old) that I'd like to be able to use them with.

To fit it I think I would need to widen the holes for the chain tensioner. It can just squeeze in now if I prod the tensioner with a screwdriver to get it in. I think the oil hole lines up with the saw ok. The shape of the back of the Stihl bar means it will be a fiddly to replace each time I take the chain off (I find Husqvarna's own bars difficult enough!).

Can I modify the bar so I can use these chains, or should I ebay them with the bar and buy some that fit the old bar already on the saw?

I had heard that Oregon made the bars for Husqvarna:confused1:

Our Husky dealer assures me that is correct but if it is, then the husky bars must be the oregon rejects as they don't seem to last anything like as well as an Oregon (well, the pro lites anyway, which visually look/feel to be the same).

The only times I've ever had a bar nose split or a sprocket spit out have been on husky bars and they alwasy seem to lose the paint very quickly IMO
