Ive got a Land force and it is pretty good it chips and its still on the back wen i get to the job.What i like is that its made of decent thick steel not tin.

Im not a TW fan been to shows and the reps wer nobs imo they dont seem to be very solid but this is my first chipper and i have limited experience in this field just noticed that on this thread its dominated by a few makes so comment on mine your oppinion would be welcome

The predator's really aren't sad though, c'mon. The 26 and 50 are brilliant, and the 75 is a monster.

 

 

I hate the multitip system, I think it lets them down cutting wise.

Also the hydraulic drive saps a lot of Horsepower compared to belts.

 

I have seen a 30hp Carlton out perform a predator 50.

 

Lovely design on the predators though.

I quite like the multi tip system i used the predator range for 6 months both the 26 and 50HP versions.

 

They were the best grinders i've ever used.

 

I thought the 26 was belt drive but i could be wrong lol

Knocked the belts off on several 26's. The only other problem with the 26 was that the cutting head was too small to clear the debris away properly and as a result the head spends too much time churning through material it has already ground out. I did find the solution, although i don't think it was very legal! But when applied it transformed the machine like you wouldn't believe!
