For tree surgery use, the advanced prototype we're building in our workshop is the dogs bollocks, and will be the best chipper of its type available. (when I finally get round to finishing it)

 

Of other peoples chippers, Jensen are nicely built, or even dare I say it, a Schliesing....

The downside of the two german machines is the extortionate price tag.

 

Greenmech's latest machines have surprised me the most in terms of ability and quality.

Any reason why you hate Jensens?

They seem to hate conifer and lack power in the infeed rollers plus i knew it would annoy you. lol

 

I think most 6" chippers are much for muchness now to be honest.

Greenmech seem to overchip, the finished product is very fine but that maybe due to set up i guess.

Not at all! You need to have sharp feed rollers as with all machines, but they do like conifer i find the intermeshed feed rollers work well.
