  3. Most of the material coming from heathland re-generation work is to small to have any usefull purpose now. Most of the clearance works on established scots pine is long gone. Only real value now is as chip. We used to burn it all 10 years ago !
  4. Best doing the job Worst pricing the job. Best deadwooding beautifull open crowned trees. Worst anything conifer related.

  6. I quite like the multi tip system i used the predator range for 6 months both the 26 and 50HP versions. They were the best grinders i've ever used. I thought the 26 was belt drive but i could be wrong lol
  7. I was inspecting Notts CC Forestry Department yesterday Lee and they have Ford Rangers which they are very happy with as well as a MAN 4x4 to replace a Unimog and various Canters. A very well equiped organisation.

  9. Greenmech seem to overchip, the finished product is very fine but that maybe due to set up i guess.
  10. They seem to hate conifer and lack power in the infeed rollers plus i knew it would annoy you. lol I think most 6" chippers are much for muchness now to be honest.
