Official "Yank'" Picture Thread

I put them in my dump trailer and will take them to the dump like they are (actually they are still sitting in there). I have chipped them before and almost always have a plug up. Plus, it dulls the knives really fast. I have a Vermeer 1250 which I understand is not very good for chipping palm fronds. Some of the other style chippers may be better. There is a guy at the Treehouse from Hawaii who chips a lot of palm stuff, so it can be done.

edit: I'm always tempted to burn them because it wouldn't cost me anything; however, if I get caught it will be a fine of several hundred dollars. So I will take them to the dump and pay $9 to get rid of them.

I can see why it would be tempting to burn them. They look like they would burn really well.

Do you somtimes find animals and nasty insects in the Palms?

Yeah, usually when they have a large beard like these there is some pigeons in them. I have run into rats twice. There was nothing in these that I could see. Yes, they burn really fast, the whole pile would probably go up in 10 minutes or less.
