What do you think are the best vehicles to have? Im not qualified yet and nowhere near setting up my own but I can always dream of what is to come(hopefully) :001_huh: Just got me thinking when I started to wonder what the ups and downs of unimogs are compared to pickup trucks?

Two very different vehicles to do very different things.

A mog for example can't really carry a load but can have a chipper on the front and a crane on the back. Bits are expensive there are lots of bits to go wrong and they occupy a grey area of what you can and can't do with them.

4x4s however are cheaper can carry a load and go where a unimog can't. Although a unimog can go where a pickup can't.

Idealy you want both.

Forgive me if I sound stupid but what do you when you say the unimogs cant carry a load? I thought they could carry a heavier load than trucks? I understand what you mean about where they can and cant go though. Suppose it matters what jobs I would be getting and where.

But if you want to carry anything other than tools associated with the vehicles use, on a road maintained at the public expense you need to run it on DERV rather than red.

HMCE can take a vehicle off you if you abuse red.

Here we go again treequip and vosa the two hand in hand.
