I would have tried to make it if you were going! It's a looong drive though! Apparently nearly another hour compared to going to whip!

Never mind, I'll catch up with some of you guys (& gals) another time. Will watch out for the Whippendell trip next year, not far from me.

I will be running two forays next year, one at ashridge park, the other the annual whippendell trip.

I am also considering taking small parties of four to five people on a fungal course basis, on a fee basis that is! It will be tailored to the crew coming, principal decay fungi and their implications in arboricultiural assessment and a more ecology based awareness day.

I have applied for a loan to buy scopes and will be offering scope lessons and identification classes at a later date.

If that loan comes through in time I will make it to croft castle too!

Hope you get this sorted as it sounds a winning idea.

The way you had the foray running and the standards I perceived were as good as you could get on any course IMO. I would be happy to start tomorrow!

I appreciate the sentiment, a lot. but what I have in mind is a standard that will set attendees up with a level of confidence not just the knowledge, to get that in a one day maybe two day course is a challenge and will require some carefull consideration and planning.

I will also need to run it by some peers
