IRATA tree cutting and stuff

Hello boys and girls,

Here is a slight explanation for my absence of late (i hope some of you missed me:confused1:).

Well last year i got my IRATA level 1 ticket and come october last year i started working in an oil refinery. Well that came and went, then i got into some geotechnical work, mainly tree cutting on the railways for the geoboys. I also did some rock drilling, meshing and mattocking, now i'm painting the Forth Rail Bridge.

i've managed to pick up a few tree surgery shifts recently too. they have been good, 5 months out and the only thing i've lost in my tough skin and a bit of strength, straight back in at the deep end :thumbup1:.

Here are a few photos of my recent exploits.

we have some big 110m abseils soon, i'll get some pics of them, and some of the rigging as i know you boys all get off on it:blushing:

oh and why we have to wear life jackets i dont know, after falling 110m all the life jacket is going to do is hold me upright on the sea floor as we have a ton of kit on us.

miss treework tons, i'm better off (financially) this way and i have more future oppertunities but i really miss seeing the natural world, oil refineries are horribly sparse places and smell very weird with lots of potential hazards

bridges are windy
