Help with tree stump grinding

Hi

I would appreciate anyones help who is familiar with tree stump grinding. In my garden I inherited a 40' diseased and partly rotten ash tree.

I called in a firm to remove it and remove the stump stating that I wanted it ground below ground level,

When the job was finished they assured me that it was a foot down below ground level amd left all of the grindings over the stump, refusing to take them away. Now that I have removed (30sacks) the grindings I find that there is a considerable amout of the stump well above ground level.

My question, therefore, relates to depth. Is it possible to grind to, say, 10" below grond level?

I would very much appreciate any professional comments on the state of the finished job. I have lodged photographs at

Any help will be much appreciated

Regards

Paul

Not looked at the pics but def possible to grind well below ground level. In fact I find it far easier to grind out deep than to try and skim the top off a stump.

Arisings aren't usually removed unless otherwise stated. I'd get them back to do the job properly.

YES.

if u havent paid yet then dont. pay when u r happy, thats what i tell my customers.

look carefully at the wording of there quotation, if it say to clear up all waste then you got a good argument. if it says it does not include the removal of the stump grindings then that side of it u wont win.
