Norway

Can any of you out there in Norway give me a bit of advice? Its my parents 40th anniversary this year and they've been looking at a coach trip to Norway which is hassle free but costs about £1000 per person. I'm wondering if they just got the ferry over to Bergen or a flight, could they do a more interesting trip that doesn't just go to tourist traps.

When I went I hired a car and drove round for a week but they don't want to do that. It will be in september/october time.

Maybe the coach trip is good value; day 1/2 sail to Esbjerg and travel to Arhus. Day 3 travel through North Jutland to Hirtshals then Kristiansand and sandnes. Day 4 coach and ferry to Voss to stay for three nights. Day 7 travel south to Hardangerfjord, across teh Haukelifjell pass to Kristiansands. Day 8 ferry to Denmark, proceeding to Esbjerg for overnight ferry back to Harwich. i think this covers food, travel and accomodation.

Any comments appreciated

Nice country, been to the borders, and heard from a local friend that the grayling fishing is beyond your wildest dreams, one day i will make it over the border from sweden, they will have an awsome trip at that time of year

It is, up to 25lb, but not as good as the moose hunting:thumbup1:
