a new journey begins.....

Se started his apprenticeship with us a month ago and is taking a Level 2 Award in Trees and Timber at Capel Manor college.

Will update on his progress over the coming months.

so five months in.......

Se is really settling in well to his new career.

Good head for heights, healthy respect for a saw and a good appetite to learn the practical and theory side of the job.

Think he knows he's a lucky lad :thumbup1:

It always a pleasure to give opportunity to where it's appreciated, and to watch the progress grow

COL is an excellent opportunity to learn and earn at the same time and also learn without the pressures of the commercial environment. Was probably the best year in arb I have had thus far. Good to see your new recruit is doing well!

Hi Jay, it's great to follow the apprentices journeys through Arbtalk and magazine articles.

Your own journey has taken you a really long way in a short time, you should be proud of where you are.

Shame fate led you to having your apprenticeship at the wrong site, could have been so so much more with us :001_tt2:

I take it he's already adept in fungal ident'? :D

He's getting there, picks up the books when he can and has a smorgasbord of different species every which way he looks on the Heath.

You know what its like Chris, the fung bug can be a magical lure
