mine, sadly I've decided to sell it as my work is moving in another direction. will be on arbtrader later if anyone is interested. most will recognise it so has a traceable history with loads of recorded maintenance. can go straight to work.

My old one. Tempted to buy her back but spending money on a u1000 currently.

Can the old round cabs like this one realistically run a chipper on the front?

Enough power?

Enough weight?

Enough metal in the right places to attach it?

Maximum recommended front lift on a round cab like that is 1200kg, and an 8" chipper is about the biggest suggested for the gearbox.

It's no U2100 but it's still a very capable tool. On the positive side the steering lock on mine puts any pickup I've ever driven to shame. You can get them into really tight spaces and they'll carry a couple of tons of chip plus chipper if you're sensible on the machine you fit to it.

Edit... With the larger pto shaft fitted they're rated to 70hp at the pto, so plenty of grunt for a a medium sized chipper.

I was very tempted by the U900 that went on ebay a couple of days ago. Went for £4k ish. Needed plenty of body welding but had PTOs and hydraulics front and back and a plate on the front. That and a modest 6 incher seemed a cool micromog to me.
