Good find Theocus - bargain.

One of the good (very small but handy) things about this, is that when you need to go inside the work area, you don't have to go all calypso, you can just lift it out of the connector, go inside, then pop it back in behind you :thumbup1:

few shots from today...........

I'm pleased I got them

are they fairly tight? do they auto-retract like a measure tape? i might get some too, weve got plenty cones. Would they take bits of small brash landing on them?

Apologies for all the questions, seem quite promising pieces of kit!

They are fairly tight Rob. Though I'd imagine that a strong breeze could make them flap about.

They do auto retract, though best if they're tended.

I don't think they would take brush landing on them too often.

You could always retract one section to drop a branch, then put it back after it was cleared (obviously while keeping the work zone manned)

Well it was pretty breezy today 15 - 20mph gusting to about 35-40.

It certainly does flap (expected) but rigid enough to make the cones go over when caught in the breeze.

Had to weight down the cones.

That's quite impressive. We've got cones very similar so they would come in handy. Just have to find myself some more roadside work to warrant using them!

Do you have access to one Gareth ?

Or have further thoughts on them ?

.

Only reading up on them and researching at this stage. Almost took the plunge last autumn - had a compressor lined up (loads about due to down turn in construction sector) and then funds got diverted elsewhere in the business. Still can see a benefit but don't think it's going to be a viable business bolt on opportunity.
