A tip for the day

Write the address of the site your working on down so that in the event of an accident you dont end up refering to the site as where you reduced the Chestnut and the truck got stuck 2 years ago, because the emergency services wont have a clue what your on about.

 

 

If any of you have tips along the same lines then please share them

You should have a clear address,and if i'am felling in the middle of no where I use google maps to find grid reference.

Maybe that's a good tip but am sure there's men on here that would go into it deeper than that.

If working in middle of nowhere tell them nearest road access point, nearest house and if air ambulance is required tell them to look for a vehicle next to large tree, reservoir, etc.

Grid ref if you are properly in the sticks....

You should have an 'emergency procedure' at least ?? especially if less than 5

eg

location/address

meeting point

nearest road junction

local hospital

access

4x4

air ambulance landing area

contact numbers

on the front seat/truck so if it does go pear shaped it is clear and concise as time may be a major factor and it will save anyone from getting into a flap giving clear and concise instructions

and if you are on your todd a worker should be in contact at set times to prevent unseen accident unnoticed

Aha, you were doing that hyperthetical thing And there was me all concerned for your panicking selves!

 

I used to be a right pain when I met my contractors on site and I always asked to see their SS RA with all the relevant contact details.

what air ambulance northern ireland donot have one, it is called the police choper, and i would not trust them in it as the chrashed it earlier this year.
