I discourage the practice of elevating trees because I believe the tree needs its lower limbs for shading the trunk and root system. I prefer to thin sprouts and lower limbs rather than completely removing them, and will strongly advise clients to that end. If they understand the implications on a tree's heath, but insist anyway, I will remove lower limbs and sprouts, but most times, when it is explained to them, they understand and will do what is best for the tree.

I would think the same principles hold true in England, though you may not get the same amount of direct sun, and HOT summer days, that Yanks get..

Lifting over a carpark, pavement and road (parking lot, sidewalk, highway) are kind of important things to do. Would really not like to get taken to court over something like that. Altohough we never put trees on elevators as thats just silly:lol:.

Nonsense... you stripped that tree to 7+ meters.. you left not one lower limb.. I would call that butchering the tree .. you can call it important.. guess its all in your point of view...

We have recently finished filming a promotional video featuring a little narative showing the client and a timlapse tree reduction with close up action shots. Waiting for it to be edited together by the conpany we employed to film. Should be good.

We also had an induction video made up to automate (slightly) the induction process to free up our contract managers and operations supervisors to get teams out on the road in stead of inducting new employees one by one.

This is the best I have in that area right now. I will try to produce something better this year..

Knots he is using at 5:17 look a bit dodgy to me. :001_tt2:

If I got a bloke in and he stood in my garden chatting the proverbial I would fire him on the spot.
