mark if you can wait it out till the next climbing meet, which will probably be in the next month or so, im sure someone will be more than happy to show you the set up and let you try it. if youve not used the vt set up before it would be best to try it with some there to show you how.

I use Ocean Polyester 10mm.

Eye to eye measurement of 85cm.

With my weight (66kg) 3 wraps and 3 braids on Imori or XTC.

What rope are you using for your main line, Mark?

As Dave says Mark, so much easier if someone demonstrates for you. It's a pretty unforgiving hitch!

 

at the moment im using yale xtc plus 13mm, but would like to try the imori 12mm

Funnily enough Mark I'm on XTC Fire 13mm and am about to change to Imori. I use Armor Prus 8mm (bit of a CE issue but it is available), and it works well on both, and lasts ages.
