I have had a go on a spiderjack and like most people didn't get on with it because it was hard to do a controlled decent. Jumping out onto another branch was a no no because you either plummeted or stopped dead. However watching this guy this is clearly a good system once you get the hang of it. I reckon that unlike a new hitch which you can get used to in a couple of hours this would take a couple of weeks, maybe its worth persevering.....

Sweet. Makes it look so easy.

 

I bet he spent the day up the nicest tree he could find and then made the short video editing out all of the mistakes :sneaky2:.

I wouldnt want to work with a climber like that ( I recon he's having fun ) but with full PPE and an 020, swinging about like that in the advarage tree would be a recipe for a trip up A&E

 

Had a pants day and fancied a snipe ... feeling lots better :laugh1:
