Cutting dead wood - Chain

Would like to improve cutting efficiency on dead wood. Can anyone recommend a good chain and setup please?

Current setup is 15" ish bar, quite a round profile chain with low rakers. Cuts green wood well but quite gritty on dead wood.

Saw is MS230 so not a massive amount of power. Smaller bar maybe?

try a full chisel chain, i assume your running .325 chain?, low rakers will try to grip too much in the wood, keep them as you would with normal sharpening, i find mine cut just as well if not slightly better in dead wood, depending on its condition. Low rakers will kill the power of your saw, especially when its a small one like a 230.
