We only keep boots up to 12, but if you let me know what you would like to try a couple of days before you come down I can try and get some in for you.:001_smile:

Do you know which boots are likely to be available in a 14 (normally Euro 49, sometimes 50)?

Also do any of the trousers come in extra long leg length? I'm 36/38" waist and 36" inside leg. Looks like the Oregons come in at about 33" so I'd need some extra tall boots! :)

Should I definitely get type C?

i am the same size as you

almost all the haix are available in 14 i couldn't find many other brands that go above 12

so got the protector pros

the hiflexs are good on length i've found chainsaw trousers don't need to be as long in the leg due to the bulky size of the boots

i have currently got a pair of engelbert strauss trousers which are available in an extra long leg version and there great but only type a's

Trousers for cs 30/31 have to be type C.
It looks like I may be able to borrow some trousers for the training/assessment. If that's the case, is there any reason to buy type C or would I be better off with type A?

One thing I do know for certain about PPE is that if it's not comfortable to wear, you wont wear it.

I don't know about chainsaw specific PPE but I did once have to source a pair of size 16 safety shoes for a visitor to our factory. Needless to say they never got used again after that week. :001_rolleyes:

I would definitely go for Meindls again, I think the Waudlaufers are harder wearing and personally find them more comfortable than the airstreams. Brilliant boots!
