It would be interesting to see what the accounts are for the show. I'm sure that there are some significant expenses in setting it up and running it.

If exhibitors are paying for their stands though, it makes you wonder why their customers are expected to pay to view the goods that they could see in the showrooms or out on site.

If I was an exhibitor I would want the trade to get in for free!

If your new to the trade you are already paying out for your training etc, and that £15 would pay for your lunch and a pint, or you could buy a few crabs or the like and bring some butties.

I would have thought that as you make £500 per day this would be peanuts?

But on principle I agree it like being charged to enter a shopping center:thumbdown:

Well most “shows” especially ware land rover/4x4 are concerned give out a limited amount of free tickets & stand space to “clubs” and other non profit entities, after all you don’t get if you don’t ask!

I think arbtalk would fit the bill of a “club” or non profit entities for the purpose of the APF show & if arbtalk managed to wangle some “stand” space it would be quite an impressive array of vehicles & equipment could be put on it & more of the industry would take note & maybe approach the website for advertising space ;)

£15 is a bit steep, especially when you think that they make quite a few bob out of the cost of the exhibitors stands and there is meant to be a credit crunch on.

I think they are shooting themselves in the foot 'cos if they get less (potential) punters through the gates I'm sure a few exhibitors will think twice about going again.

I just hope they don't charge extra for parking like they do for shows at the NEC.
