new inventions

I had an idea for a piece of equipment i was using today that kept annoying me on ways to make it better (for me).

 

i think it could also make it better for other people too (after talking to other work colleagues), but how would i go about making/trying and testing/even marketing and getting things out there?

 

are there people that do this now? i only ask because i'm up to my eyeballs in study but really do think this idea is worth following up, how would i go about getting help and advice on a new product without that new product (if it even gets to that stage) be conveniently "thought of" by somebady else??

if youre serious about the idea dont tell anyone untill youve copywrited/patented it. that sort of info should be readilly available on how to. once youve done that then you can start approaching people about it. just make sure you safe guard the idea first. good luck.

if the ideas worth working on then apply for a patent then speak to someone like fletcher stewarts.

to apply for a patent, do you just need to have an idea or up to the stage of technical drawings?

Worth a google search both on words and images before decisions. The chinese often produce copies of products so make the idea is protected worldwide.
