Northern Lights

[TRADITIONAL LOGGERS]

I am told the that due to weather conditions and sun flares from 22.00 on the 1st March 2011 the Northern Lights should be visible in Scotland/Denmark.

Its a bit overcast at the moment but will head out at 10 and have a look!

I saw it in Alaska for a few weeks when I was there. We would sleep in bivis on the mountains and lie there (not sleeping obviously) watching the lights. Totally awsome. When we met some locals they said it was the best show they had seen in years too so I felt very lucky!

I was lucky enough to see a spectacular display in Iceland a couple of years ago . It would be amazing to be able to see them in this country, but I wonder if there's too much light polution even in the wilds oop norf?

i see them a few years back up in finnmark at the top of norway beats any fire work display, ever
