The spec was up to 50% and I tried to be sympathetic to the tree I'd say it was both a reduction and pollard not all branch ends could have growth junctions so made the best of what was asked of me :)

The tree had severely overgrown 3 neighbours gardens and all wanted more off but I tried to explain about retaining the best shape possible and they agreed other wise it would of been a big pollard.

I do believe ultimately they are removing the tree due to close proximity of the garage and spreading the cost which makes sense.

and thanks for the compliment re the felling of the pine I think a standard cut with wedge would of been just fine, now and then I just fanny around with different cuts :D

I did not need them i had this tree on the ground in under an hour :001_tongue:

And to Mr B yes on cs39, as for one handed use well you would be the first tree surgeon I have ever known of to always use both hands, your body must be ruined trying to place your self on the end of a 3 inch branch to get two hands on the saw for a pruning cut ?.

I would blow you out of the water on speed / Production of work and my reductions come out excellent. I bet you must charge an enormous amount being so slow two handing every cut although your right super safe :001_tt2:

Have to agree with MistahBean.

You don't need a headcam, you could just film with the hand you're not cutting with!

I'm all for one-handing as necessary, but your elbows will pay the price if you carry on doing it for fun.

Vid quality is really good.

Fair enough point but the other hand is normally on the line keeping me stable :) i like my way i know my body and i know what works for me. I use one hand and both hands to suit me and as for elbows im sure benching heavy at the gym will cause me problems long before a 3.5 kg saw does :001_tt2:

And i agree very happy with the go pro good choice :001_smile:

It does make me chuckle you could do a perfect video and someone would find a fault, your saws to blunt, your helmets to orange, your make-up is running haha ahhh tree surgeons are like women when it comes to other tree surgeons little bitches.

If you are saying that you need one hand to keep you steady surely that suggests bad work position? Round 3 :D

Terry, its not a race you know. You dont know me, or what I am capable of! And I am sure that I dont need to prove myself haha. Come over to New York and work on some big trees whenever you like mate.
