AWESOME PICTURES! I posted all the old school ones of mine on here ages ago, dont have any more though, wish the old timers took more pics!

 

quick question to someone who may no why in pic 4 down why would you cut into the hinge in the middle ive seen someone do it before but cant remeber the benefit

letter boxing, it can prevent trees from splitting up and stop the fibers being pulled out of the middle, it is a must in big tree falling, especially if the wood is going for timber, i do it on a lot of trees (look at my avatar :001_smile:) as that is the way i have been taught by old timers :001_smile:
