Hi forum

 

wanted to ask if there was anyone out there that might be able to help me with some wood to make a butchers block??

I think i would like ash or beech any info would be great

Pretty sure i have read that Sycamore is the preferred wood as it is sterile when split? Why that is or if its even correct i am not really sure! I am sure Beech, Sycamore or Elm would make superb butchers/chopping blocks.
