well i priced it for a normally take down. just priced a little more for my time

the tree has a big union so i was going to set a rigging point from the other side of the tree so nothing touched the line.

i was just parinoid about any electric contucting through the tree. ive already been shocked when i worked over in portugal. after the rope came across the line and sent a canny shock through me. i was told it was insulated but it was still enough to get shaking. but anyway thats another story

Is that why you came home? :sneaky2::001_rolleyes:

It is beyond me why people take on this work and try to do it live. Any clients I have who request this work I tell them look at the pole and take the number, phone your local electricity wayleave dept and request that their equipped crews come and sort it. Usually a 16 week wait but hey no fatal or near fatal incidents. There are plenty of other trees to work on so leave the ones near lines to the utility crews, lifes short enough.

Ive been asked to fell some sycamores under some powerlines that have already been topped out by the utility company . Theres no possible chance of them coming into contact with wires or pylons , do the same rules apply ?

If there really is no possible chance, and you are 100% confident you won't damage any of the networks don't worry about it. If there is even the slightest doubt in your mind leave it alone. Only you can make that call. If it were me in your shoes I'd probably deck them, take the money and run.
