Arbtalkers Kew Spring Visit May 14th 2011

A few years ago a few Arbtalk members went to Kew for a close to Christmas meet, it was a great day if a little wet [ok understatement it poured] we did a quick soggy walk around the arboretum, this included stopping off for refreshments in the cafe.

We then headed to a very nice pub to dry out by a nice fire and sink a couple of jars and enjoy nice meal, it was nice making new friends with something in common.

So I thought I'd organise another trip for the 14th of May 2011, we will meet at the rear entrance at 11am, everyone welcome, WAGS friends and children.

If I can get an idea of numbers I'll see if we can get a guide to take us????

Below are some pictures of our soggy Christmas visit some years ago

I'd be up for it again Lee. I'll be watching this space with interest.

Thanks Rich should be nicer weather for the kids in May, and the trees should be at a more interesting period. I was thinking we could have a picnic and let the kids play, or if raining head back to the pub.....

Kews obviously the Mutts Lee, & would probably be in reach of a large number of members.

But Cambridge Botanic gardens' not too shabby either.

Has the Uks first Dawn Redwood for example.

Bit nearer for you as well.

Only mention it as Kew tends to be the obvious choice.
