I wish I had had a forum to ask how charge when I started up, all the hours of learning and underpricing, why not sit down and work out your running costs ( fuel, tools,INSURANCE, waste carrying licence,Wages) that's how much you need to charge. Good luck!

Easy to come up with a figure only to find out later that you haven't actually covered your costs. Sit down work out your running costs then add on what you are happy to earn on top.

i didnt get the job , but since pictures of work were asked for in exchange for the advice. i am reducing a very very small sycamore on thursday so i will post some pictures of that instead

Do you know why, or how much by, you didn't get the job? Its worth asking if you feel comfortable doing so. It might not be down to price anyway there could be any numbers of reasons.

i didnt ask how much the winning quote was, i asked for £175.00 and think that was a fair price for half a day. Yes i am fully insured all my kit is brand new so i didnt think i needed loller testing untill its six months old?

I'm moving my family to Amersham, Bucks to get rich. Can't charge nearly that much in sunny Surrey.
