Woody,

£2 million is the minimum I ahve come across with £1o million being the most. In the main £5million seems to be the average BUT of course you need to ensure you've adequate cover for the type of contracts undertaken.

ALSO check the policy exclusions prior to signing the cheque as I frequenty come across height restrictions in relation to aerial ops and tree felling, which the contractor wasn't aware of.

Good luck..!

Great, thanks! Never thought of that, i wouldn't normally read the small print!!!

I'm also pressuming it's possible to increase the cover should need be.

I have been with trust for 7 years, they may not be the cheapest but they did pay out with little fuss when an employee dropped a Douglas on a footbridge.

Thats 2 for trust so far then! My reasoning behind NFU was they've given me a good quote for tractor insurance. Haven't tried Trust yet though!

Thanks

I've just got a quote with arbinsure, which includes 5k of tools of which no single one is over 2k. 5million pli

Quote was for 635 but that was based on 10k turnover, if I did more id have to pay more!

I'm with Trust. £5 million is recommended, it's good for LA work or companies you're subbying for. Got my tools through them as well.

Thanks for that, it was going to be my next question about LA contracts!

Cheers
