If you are agric, or running showmans its legal. NOTHING else.

 

Otherwise, "one trailer cannot tow another".

 

If you wish to articulate the first trailer it becomes part of the tractor "vehicle", then you may tow a "trailer" with that "vehicle".

 

The one who has been there and knows has spoken!

Reversing was never a problem for me.

 

Trying to explain to VOSA why I thought it was legal was the difficult bit.

 

Just a word of warning Butler, I got off lightly but they told me the usual course is to confescate the whole rig, especially if the offender knows it was illegal!

 

Is it all worth much?
