hi all, could you give me your views, a mate is thinking of buying a stihl MS181 for cutting up about 5 cube of firewood per year, he is'nt used to saws at all, and has just had a woodburner put in, thanks in advance

no problems with mine which I use as a chipper saw and have the powersharp set up on it for stumping those really awkward or filthy conifers.

 

Not the most powerful thing in the world but better than anything b&q can offer at the same sort of money. Keep it sharp and understand it isn't a 260 and you will be fine

Good little saw Ive been using a ms170 for light work It feels nice and light and has the right amount of power Good as a chipper saw aswell For firwood a ms230 felt nice not sure on it tho
