Just for the record a phone call that I got Christmas Eve from someone wanting 1 Barrow bag and wanting to collect to avoid the £5 delivery charge on just the one, I delivered and made no delivery charge and carried it down the steps on my own because the gentleman had hurt his arm and then dragged it through the house next to their fire then wished them Merry Christmas at about 5.30pm Christmas Eve.

I would hope they were appreciative that you had gone the whole hog and not try the same next year

Thats great service dave. Who needs to buy firewood a year before needed with service like that.

why only £10k a worker? thats no deterant for anyone really is it? he was only paying them peanuts in the first place, so £10k fine (if you do get found out) probably is still less than hiring legitimate person for a year anyway:confused1:

the fines for committing a crime in this country are ludicrous!

could you advertise your logs as fair trade now. I like to think of my self as a good business investing in people. The man that works the hardest in my business is well rewarded lives in a half million pound house and swans around in a Landcruiser.
