dead wooding & removing snow damaged hangers from this pond side Swamp Cypress.

Felt a little like Haratio Nelson today, as I was directing the battle from the vantage point of the flagship of the fleet.

In charge of all things nautical in nature. :biggrin:

 

Had the Hama ringing me as I was bobbing about on the waves. :001_rolleyes:

 

 

Heavily leaning Ash that was down for removal to reduce the risk of a root plate failure taking a chunk out of this Resevoire when/if it failed.

 

 

pollarded/topped, & will manage as retained dead if it doesn't sprout.

We did a little more work along this resevoir today.

 

Reducing down a couple of heavy leaners so they dont break out the res bank if they were left to fall over.

 

Winched out of the water & up the bank then shifted the timber back down the path to the Landy.

Not from the start Matt, but we've going across once or twice a year for a week at a time over the last three years or so.

 

Suppliments the work program that's given out to contractors & adds between 10 & 15 extra Pollards reductions a year, that they couldn't normally acheive with budget constraints.

 

 

Really enjoy the work, I think the team is very lucky :001_smile:
