Anybody copse cutting hedge laying ?

Hi all! just wondered if anybodys copse cutting or hedge laying in the south of England ? I'd love to have a go for a day and learn a few tricks of the trade :001_smile:. Failing that are there any good books out that you know of that would give me an insight into the products produced from Hazel and sweet chestnut Many thanks Pat

Also the South of England hedgelaying society have regular-ish training days for members (dont remember it being expensive to join, I used to go a few years back)which are mostly held in Sussex and there is a Sussex&Surrey coppice group website link: http://coppicegroup.wordpress.com/ .

Basically to warn people that the fire is still hot. Sadly i nthe world of H + S we have to put it up after a member of the publics dog ran through an ash pile that had only been out for 2 days. We put red n white tape around the tops of the stakes. When the ash pile has completely cooled down we pick up the ash and take it to our "fire pit" and put it on the fire site.
